What we collect
- When you use our website form: your name, phone number, the property's postcode, what you tell us about the property, the page you used and which advert or link brought you to us.
- When you use a form on Facebook or Instagram: the details you enter, such as your name, phone number, email address, postcode, property details and timescale.
- When you book a call: your name, email address, phone number and the time you choose.
- When we speak or write to each other: notes of our calls, emails and messages, and information about the property and your plans for it.
How we use it
- To contact you about your enquiry, understand your property and situation, and make you an offer.
- To arrange calls and property visits, and to progress a purchase if you decide to go ahead.
- To keep records of enquiries and offers.
- To understand which of our adverts are working, using the campaign information attached to your enquiry.
We will only send you marketing messages if you have agreed to receive them, and you can stop them at any time.
Our legal reasons for using it
- Steps you ask us to take before a contract: responding to your enquiry and making an offer.
- Our legitimate interests: following up enquiries, keeping business records and measuring our advertising, balanced against your rights.
- Legal obligations: checks and records the law requires if a purchase goes ahead.
- Consent: marketing messages, where you have opted in.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information. We share it only with people who help us run our business, under contracts that protect it:
- Google, which provides our email and the spreadsheets where we record enquiries.
- Meta, if you contact us through a Facebook or Instagram form.
- Calendly, if you book a call online.
- Cloudflare, which hosts this website.
- Our solicitors, surveyors and other professional advisers if a purchase goes ahead.
Some of these providers may process information outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on the safeguards UK data protection law requires, such as adequacy regulations or approved contract terms.
How long we keep it
If your enquiry does not go ahead, we keep your details for 12 months after our last contact and then delete them. If we buy your property, we keep the records for 6 years after completion for legal and tax reasons.
Your rights
You can ask us to give you a copy of your information, correct it, delete it, limit how we use it, or stop using it for a particular purpose. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Email us to make a request. We will reply within one month.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. We will acknowledge your complaint within 30 days. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.
Cookies
This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies. Our booking calendar is provided by Calendly and only loads when you choose "Show available times". Calendly may then set its own cookies, described in Calendly's cookie notice. If we add advertising or analytics tools in future, we will ask your permission first.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page if the way we use your information changes. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
